Hoffert Mrs. Gertrude Hess Hoffert, 65, wife of the late Harry J. Hoffert, 142 Ma in St., Bethelhem, died at 11 p.m. Thursday in St. Luke?s Hospital. She was born in Hellertown, July 15, 1878, and was a daughter of the la te Colonel Edward T. and Isabella Diehl Hess. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and Sunday School; the Missiona ry society and Quilting society and the Ladies Auxiliary of Christ Luther an Church, Hellertown. In addition to her church affiliations, Mrs. Hoffert was a member of the G olden Eagles and a past officer of the temple, Ladies auxiliary of camp N o. 295, Sons of Union veteran, Hellertown Camp. No. 2000, P.O. of A. a nd a member of the degree team of the camp. Women?s Democratic club of He llertown and the Ladies auxiliary of Dewey Fire Co., Hellertown. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Miller, wife of Edward P. Mil ler, at home, a granddaughter Isabelle Miller and one brother, Edward E. H ess, of Leithsville. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 1:30 o?clock at her late reside nce, with further services in Lower Saucon Lutheran church at 2 p.m. wi th Rev. Robert H. Krauss officiating. Burial will be made in the family p lot in Hellertown Union cemetery. | ||
