Wife, 3 Sisters Die in 7 Months
Latest DDeath in Tragic Quadrangle is that of Mrs. Ella Beitelman.
The unusual experience of losing his wife and three sisters by death within a period of only seven momths has fallen tot the lot of Chest Amey of this city.
The fourth in a tragic quadrangle was Mrs. Ella L. (Amig) Beitelman, 754 N. 9th St., this city, widow of Resher j. Beitelman. She died at 5:15 a.m. Friday at the home of her son and Daughter-in-law, Mr. and mrs. Edwin J. Beitelman, 1059, 4th St., N. Catasauqua, at the age of 70 years.
The sequence began early last fall with the death of Mrs. Kate Clauss, this city, and continued with the passing of Miss Annie Amey in Frebruary of this city. Mr. Amey's wife, died several weeks ago.
Mrs. Beitelman lived at the 9th St., address in this city for the last 9 years. She was removed to her son's home Thursday when she suffered a stroke. Prior to her residence in this city she lived in Catasauqua.
Born in Norristown she was the daughter of Conrad and Amelia, nee Swarz, Amig. She is survied by two sons, Edwin J. of N. Catasauqua and Thomas A. of Buffalo, N.Y.; a daughter, mrs. Saide McCandless of Delps, 12 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. and a brother, Chester Amey of this city. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Chruch in this city.
Rev. James F. Lambert, D. D., will officate at services at the Oliver S. Burkholder funeral home, 3rd and Walnut Sts., catasauqua, Monday at 1:30 p.m. Interment will be made in Allen-Union cemetery. |
