C. R. Laros Dies: Retired Official of Lehigh Inc. Easton Native Ser ve As Purchasing Agent for Many Years
Claude R. Laros Sr., 75, of 501 Reeder St., Easton, died yesterday afterno on in the Eastwood Convalescent Home, Wilson where he was a guest for t wo days.
He was a patient at Easton Hospital for a month before going to the rest h ome. He had been in failing heath for six months.
Mr. Laros was purchasing agent of Lehigh Inc., West Easton, from 1930 unt il his retirement in 1960. He was born March 22, 1886, in Easton, a s on of the late Newman and Matilda Osterstock Laros.
He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Farmersville; Dall as Lodge 396, F&AM, Easton; the Lehigh Valley Club, Allentown and the Leh igh Valley Purchasing Agents Association.
Surviving are his widow, the former Roxie March; one daughter, Gwyneth , w ife of Norman E. Staats, Haddonfield, N. J.; son, Claude R. Laros Jr ., at home; two sisters, Elsie, wife of Warren Sweitzer, Palmer Townshi p, and Mary, wife of Paul Wagner, New York City and two brothers, Ralph La ros, Palmer Township, and Harold Laros, Easton.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. |
