Martin Mengel, Employe of Nazareth Firm
Martin E. Mengel St., 59, of 121 S. New St., Nazareth, died last nig ht in Easton Hospital shortly after admission.

Born March 9, 1909, in Tatamy, he was a son of the late William and Ann ie Mae Babp Mengel. His wife is the former Blanche Engler. He lived in Sto ckertown before moving to Nazareth 17 years ago.

Mr. Mengel was an office clerk for the Trumbower Coal & Lumber co., Nazare th, the last 10 years and was formerly employed by the Kayser Hosiery Mill s, Bangor.

He was a member of St. John?s Lutheran Church, Tatamy, and was vice presid ent of the church council for many years. He was a member of the church ch oir 40 years and taught in the Sunday school of the church for many year s. He was a member of the Evangelist committee of the church and was pres ident of the former Nazareth Choral Society.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Sherwood Kleintop, Nazareth, and Loi s, at home; five sons, Martin Jr., Nazareth; Morris, Lancaster; Robert, Wa verly, Val; Capt. Larry Mengel, with the U. S. Army at Ft. Knox. Ky., a nd Darrell, Nazareth R. D1; four sisters, Mrs. Edward Fehr , Easton; Mr s. Roy Klein and Mrs. Ralph Morris, both of Easton R. D.1. and Mrs. Russe ll Edelston, Titusville, Fla.; four brothers, Alvin, Mount Bethel; Wilme r, Orlando,, Fla.; Lester, Easton, and Frank, Pen Argyl and eight grandchi ldren.

The funeral will be held a 2 p.m. Sunday at St. John?s Lutheran Church, Ta tamy. Arrangements were made by the Schmidt Mortuary, Nazareth.

Martin Mengel Sr
The funeral of Martin Mengel Sr., 121 S. New St., Nazareth, who died Tuesd ay in Easton Hospital, was held yesterday afternoon in St. John?s Luther an Church, Tatamy.

The Rev. Charles H. Shade officiated. Interment was in Northampton Memori al Shrine, Pallbearers were William Snyder, Kenneth Bower, Leon Everett, L arry Price, Burton Millheim, Richard Mellwig, William Quinter and John Fil chner Jr.
