Mrs. Ethel M. Fehr, 78, of 18 Belvidere St., Nazareth, died Sunday in East on Hospital. She was the widowof Edward Fehr who died in 1981, William Ko ch who died in 1951, and Raymond DeWalt who died in 1938.
She was a labeller at Binney and Smith, Inc., Forks Township, for 27 yea rs before retiring in 1971. During World War II, she worked at Taylor-Whar ton Co., Palmer Township.
Born in Tatamy, she was a daughter of the late William and Anna (Babp) Men gel.
She was a member of Forks Salem United Church of Christ, Stockertown.
Surviving are two sons, Arthur F. DeWalt of Wind Gap R.1 and Burton C. DeW alt of Lower Nazareth Township; a daughter Jean, wife of Raymond Werkheis er of Plainfield Township; four brothers, Alvin of Mount Bethlehem, Wilm er of Orlando, Fla., Lester of East Bangor and Frank of Pen Argyl; three s isters, Mrs. Roy Kline of Forks Township, Mrs. Christine Edelston of Titus ville, Fla., and Mrs. John Cornelius of Martins Creek; a stepson, Edward F ehr Jr. of Bethlehem; two stepdaughters, Ruth, wife of Lester Wagner, a nd Esther, wife of Donald Reinert, both of Nazareth; nine grandchildren, f our step- grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and three step-great-gran dchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in the church. Calling hours will be 7 -8:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Schmidt Mortuary, 407 Belvidere St., Nazareth. |
