Ruth M. Klein

Ruth M. Klein, age 84, of Forks Township, Pa. passed away Tuesday, March 1 0, 2009 at her residence. Born September 10, 1924, in Easton, she was a da ughter of the late William and Annie Mae (Babp) Mengel. Her husband, R oy W. Klein, died April 23, 2006. Ruth was a dairy farmer all her life a nd along with her husband Roy, co-owned Klein Dairy Farm in Forks Townshi p. She was a graduate of Easton High School, class of 1942. Ruth was a cha rter member of Faith Lutheran Church in Forks Township where she was ve ry active. She was a wonderful cook using many of the home grown fruits a nd vegetables from her gardens. She especially liked flowers and took pri de in her flower gardens. In addition to her husband, she was predeceas ed by eight brothers and sisters.

Survivors: Two sons, Leonard R. and his wife, Christa, of Wilmington, De l. and Layne W. and his wife, Beth, of Forks Township.; two daughters, Ly nn D. Klein of Nazareth and Lori R. Brewer and her husband, Kevin, of Low er Mount Bethel; nine grandchildren, Maria E. Hollenbeck, Nicholas J.L. St rauss-Klein, Renate R.G. Klein, Amanda L. Zavacky, Rebecca A. Geoffroy, Ja cob Roy Klein, Rachel L. Klein, Stephanie M. Brewer and Stacy L. Brewer; n ine great-grandchildren, Madeleine E. Hollenbeck, Aidan R. Hollenbeck, Cla ra C. Hollenbeck, Henry N. Strauss-Klein, Aryeh Zion Strauss-Klein, Jon ah R. Geoffroy and Alison B. Zavacky; brother, Wilmer Mengel of Florida; s ister, Martha Cornelius, of Martins Creek.

Services: noon Saturday, March 14, 2009 in the Faith Lutheran Church, 20 12 Sullivan Trail, Easton, Forks Township with the Rev. Gregory S. Tafel o fficiating. Relatives and friends are invited to call Saturday from 10 a. m. until the time of service in the Church. Burial will follow at Forks Ce metery, Stockertown.
