CLARA E. MESSINGER
Clara E. Messinger, of 1701 Hanover Acres died yesterday in the Allento wn hospital after a protracted illness. She was 80.

Born in Easton, a daughter of the late Franklin and Henrietta Sloyer. S he is survived by her husband, Allen Messinger, three sons, Frank E. of Ea ston, Charles R. at home, Lloyd M. of Allentown; 15; grandchildren, eig ht great-grandchildren, and two brothers, Thomas Sloyer of Portland, Ore ., and Samuel of Allen, Kansas.

Rev. Byron Musselman will officiate at services at 3 P.M., Thursday at t he Mrs. Ernest B. Zimmerman funeral home; 1124 Walnut St. Burial wi ll be in Grandview cemetery. Calling hours 7 to 9 P.M., Wednesday.

Mrs. Allen Messinger
Mrs. Clara E. Messinger, 80, formerly of Easton, died yesterday in Allento wn Hospital after an illness of four months. She was the wife of Alen Mes singer, of Allentown.

Mrs. Messinger was born in South Easton on March 8, 1867, a daughter of t he late Franklin and Henrietta Sloyer. She resided in Eston for abo ut 18 years and then lived for 37 years in different localities in the We st. She returned to Easton in 1922, moved to Detroit in 1927 and short ly thereafter returned to live on a farm near Richland. She had resid ed in Allentown for 15 years. She was a member of the Evangelical Church.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Messinger is surviving by three sons, Charl es R. and Floyd M. of Allentown, and Frank E. of Easton; two brothers, Sam uel E. Sloyer, of Allen, Kansas, and Thomas S. Sloyer, of Portland, Ore .; 15 grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. at the Ernest B. Zimmerm an funeral home, 1124 Walnut street, Allentown. Interment will be in Gra nd View cemetery, Allentown.
